Postcolonialism, is the historical period and matter of affairs representing  Western world the term can also be used to describe the present project to form  and review  the history and agency of people undertaking with various forms of imperialism.

The postcolonial generation of cultural knowledge  about  the colonized people andhow that Western cultural knowledge was applied to change the  non-European people into a colony of the European mother country, which after initial invasion, was effected by means of the cultural identities of 'colonizer' and 'colonized'.

Nationhood and Nationalism

It always seems to be neutral within the mass of nationhood and nationalism. The feel of nationhood belongs to each and every individual at their own view. On the  other hand nationalism  seems to be different form the above  but we can  relate both  of them. Each of them are the true history and present  as well. We can't define both of them separately because they are connect through their own people's views and ideologies.

However it doesn't make any sense to make  off any person who don't follow nationhood or nationalism yet we live in the world who has borders  within borders so heart may follow  the difference as of mind can do also the  same. We can't force people but appeal.

Culture and its identity

Postcolonialism is aimed at disempowering such theories (intellectual and linguistic, social and economic) by means of which colonialists "perceive," "understand," and "know" the world. Postcolonial theory thus establishes intellectual spaces for subaltern peoples to speak for themselves, in their own voices, and thus produce cultural discourses of philosophy, language, society, and economy, balancing the imbalanced us-and-them binary power-relationship between the colonist and the colonial subject.

Its Theory

Postcolonial theory is a structure  of thought that normally  is concerned with the formation  of the political, aesthetic, economic, historical, and social impact of European colonial rule around the world .

• post-colonialism is rather an engagement with and contestation of ,colonialism's discourses power structures, and social hierarchies... A theory of post-colonialism must be responding  to more than the merely chronological construction of post-independence, and to more than just the descriptive  experience of imperialism.

Postcolonial literature

Postcolonialism mostly deals with many concepts like cultural, political, geographical, psychological and post-structural etc. It is also an important form of  literature which helps in strong and effective concerns like education, politics, geography, culture and customs. It is diversly regulated by the  people itself.

We can see  how the literature was going on its way to criticise people's mind widely based on tact ful ideologies and  belief in nationalism it. It also  does change in the nature of thinking or accepting the  prevailing change. This were directly involved in the  literature  by the artists of that time through the help of which  we are today having this knowledge about that era.
